An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Step out of Rovaniemi to go to Ranua and see Ranua Zoo, which is approximately 1 hour away. Next up on the itinerary: don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square, enjoy some diversion at Angry Birds Park, pause for some serene contemplation at Rovaniemi Church, and examine the collection at Santa's House of Snowmobiles.
