Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Helsinki Cathedral. Get outdoors at Nuuksio National Park and Paavolan Tammi. Step out of Helsinki with an excursion to Sipoonkorven Kansallispuisto in Vantaa--about 30 minutes away. An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Santa Claus Village and Arktikum. Step out of the city life by going to Pyha-Luosto National Park and Napapiirin Porofarmi. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Rovaniemi: Salla Museum of War & Reconstruction (in Salla) and Amethyst Mine Lapland (in Luosto).
