Inari

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Change things up with these side-trips from Inari: Saariselka (Shamaan Design - Lappi Shop, Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort, &more). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church, hike along Juutua Nature Trail, and go for a walk through Otsamo Fell.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Go for a jaunt from Rovaniemi to Ranua to see Ranua Zoo about 1 hour away.
