Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Nuuksio National Park and Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum. Get out of town with these interesting Helsinki side-trips: Porvoo (The Devil's Stairs, Cathedral of Porvoo, &more), Inkoo (Inkoon kirkko & Fagervik Museum) and Vantaa (Kuusijarvi & Heureka). There's still lots to do: step into the grandiose world of Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, walk around Kaivopuisto, take an in-depth tour of The National Museum of Finland, and pause for some serene contemplation at Temppeliaukio Church.

Seattle, USA to Helsinki is an approximately 16- hour flight. You can also do a combination of shuttle and flight; or do a combination of train and flight. Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Kick off your visit on the 27th (Mon): make a trip to Kultaranta Garden, hike along The Archipelago Trail, pedal to the sights with Bike Rental - by Carfield, then stroll around Kupittaa Park, and finally see the interesting displays at Luostarinmaen Kasityolaismuseo.

On the 28th (Tue), get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Sarkanniemi Theme Park, then pause for some serene contemplation at Finlayson Church, and then examine the collection at The Finnish Labour Museum Werstas. Here are some ideas for day two: see the interesting displays at The Car Museum of Vehoniemi (Vehoniemen automuseo), then examine the collection at National Police Museum, then head off the coast to Viikinsaari Island, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Rauhaniemi Beach.
