Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Head to Market Square Kauppatori and Artisaanifor plenty of shopping. Get a sense of the local culture at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Temppeliaukio Church. Venture out of the city with trips to Sipoonkorven Kansallispuisto (in Vantaa) and Nuuksio National Park (in Espoo). There's lots more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Helsinki Cathedral, take a stroll through Ullanlinna, stop by Katajanokka, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali).

Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
Visiting Seitsemisen Kansallispuisto and Riihiniemen Uimaranta will get you outdoors. Shop till you drop at Laukko Manor and Keittioelamaa. Go for a jaunt from Tampere to Janakkala to see Laurinmaki Crofter's Museum about 1h 5 min away.
