An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Visiting Safaris and Napapiirin Porofarmi will get you outdoors. Let the collections at Arktikum and Science Centre Pilke capture your imagination. Change things up with these side-trips from Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon (in Posio) and Tatuka Reindeerfarm (in Ylitornio). There's lots more to do: make a trip to Santa Claus Village, examine the collection at Santa's House of Snowmobiles, Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rovaniemi Church.

Pello is a municipality of Finland.It is located approximately north of the Arctic Circle in the western part of the province of Lapland, and is part of the Lapland region. Kick off your visit on the 16th (Sat): steep yourself in history at Maupertuis Memorial and then look for all kinds of wild species at Soulmate Huskies. Keep things going the next day: fly down the slopes at Ski Resort Ritavalkea.

Saariselka

Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
Gold Prospector Museum and Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center will appeal to museum buffs. Step out of the city life by going to Nature & Wildlife Tours and Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort. Step out of Saariselka to go to Inari and see Juutua Nature Trail, which is approximately 1 hour away. There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel, look for gifts at Hippupuoti Gift Shop, and get in on the family fun at Angry Birds Activity Park.

Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Helsinki Cathedral will appeal to history buffs. Visiting Aurinkolahti Beach and Hietaranta Beach will get you outdoors.
