Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Bring the kids along to Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Sipoonkorven Kansallispuisto. Get some cultural insight at Temppeliaukio Church and Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum. Step out of Helsinki with an excursion to Nuuksio National Park in Espoo--about 48 minutes away. The adventure continues: pause for some serene contemplation at Helsinki Cathedral, make a trip to Senate Square, steep yourself in history at Old Customs House, and wander the streets of Katajanokka.
