Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Family-friendly places like Naantali Old Town and Luostarinmaen Kasityolaismuseo will thrill your kids. Discover out-of-the-way places like Turku Castle and Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova. Get out of town with these interesting Turku side-trips: Rauma (Old Rauma & Rauma Water Tower) and Lenholm Conservation Area (in Pargas). And it doesn't end there: step aboard Forum Marinum Maritime Centre, take in nature's colorful creations at Kultaranta Garden, get lost in a book at Turku City Library, and browse the different shops at Turun Kauppahalli.

Kids will enjoy Yyteri Beach and Pyynikki Park and Observation Tower. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Hatanpaa Arboretum and Vapriikin Museokeskus. Explore Tampere's surroundings by going to Pori (Rakennuskulttuuritalo Toivo Ja Korsmanin Talo, Palace of Junnelius, &more). Next up on the itinerary: take in the spiritual surroundings of Tampereen Tuomiokirkko, take in panoramic vistas at Nasinneula Tower, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Aleksanterin Kirkko, and look for all kinds of wild species at Pohtiolampi.

You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and The National Museum of Finland. Explore hidden gems such as Porvoo Old Town and Cathedral of Porvoo. Change things up with a short trip to Heureka in Vantaa (about 32 minutes away). Pack the 25th (Tue) with family-friendly diversions at Linnanmaki Amusement Park.
