Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Helsinki is known for historic sites, museums, and shopping. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: admire the striking features of Temppeliaukio Church, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kamppi Chapel of Silence, browse the exhibits of Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, and get to know the fascinating history of The Esplanadi Park.

Get out of town with these interesting Tampere side-trips: Visavuori (in Valkeakoski), Padasjoen Tuomastornit (in Padasjoki) and Museo Militaria (in Hameenlinna). There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Hatanpaa Arboretum, stop by Hameenkatu, find something for the whole family at Sarkanniemi Theme Park, and steep yourself in history at Amuri Museum of Workers' Housing.
