Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Shop till you drop at Hakaniemi Market and TeeMaa Tea House. Get some historical perspective at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Helsinki Cathedral. And it doesn't end there: get engrossed in the history at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, admire the striking features of Temppeliaukio Church, make a trip to Senate Square, and enjoy the sand and surf at Hietaranta Beach.

Inari

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Get some cultural insight at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center and Gold Prospector Museum. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church and Reindeer Farm Petri Mattus. Go for a jaunt from Inari to Saariselka to see Hippupuoti Gift Shop about 1 hour away. Spend the 27th (Thu) exploring nature at Lemmenjoki National Park. There's still lots to do: get your bearings at The Sami Cultural Centre Sajos.

Kuusamo

Kuusamo is a town and municipality in Finland. Step out of the city life by going to Pieni Karhunkierros Trail and Julma Olkky. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Jalavan Kauppa and Hannu Hautala Nature Photography Centre. Explore Kuusamo's surroundings by going to Martinselkonen Wilds Centre (in Suomussalmi) and Riisitunturi National Park (in Posio). There's lots more to do: look for gifts at Shopping Center Kumpare, contemplate the waterfront views at Kiutakongas Rapids, and experience rural life at Palosaari Reindeer and Fishing Farm.
