An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Step out of Rovaniemi with an excursion to Tatuka Palvelut in Ylitornio--about 34 minutes away. The adventure continues: get in on the family fun at Santa Claus Village, see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, see the interesting displays at Santa's House of Snowmobiles, and get engrossed in the history at Arktikum.

Kuwait City, Kuwait to Rovaniemi is an approximately 13.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or drive. The time zone changes from Arabia Standard Time to Eastern European Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. Get out of town with these interesting Kotka side-trips: Salpa Line Museum (in Miehikkala), Bunker Museum (in Virolahti) and Ankkapurha Culture Park (in Kouvola).
