Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Get outdoors at Aurinkolahti Beach and Korkeasaari Zoo. Fortress of Suomenlinna and Ullanlinna are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Venture out of the city with trips to Valkmusa National Park (in Siltakyla), Nuuksio National Park (in Espoo) and Hyvinkaa (Valvilla Factory Museum & Hyvinkään kaupunginmuseo). Pack the 19th (Sat) with family-friendly diversions at Linnanmaki Amusement Park. There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Hietaranta Beach, take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), admire the landmark architecture of Rock Church, and take an in-depth tour of Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum.

Rovaniemi

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Beyond Arctic has been added to your itinerary.
