Jyväskylä is a city and municipality in Finland and in the western part of the Finnish Lakeland. When in Jyvaskyla, make a side trip to see Petajavesi Old Church in Petajavesi, approximately Petajavesi away. There's much more to do: examine the collection at The Alvar Aalto Museum, get a new perspective on nature at Natural History Museum of Central Finland, take an in-depth tour of Keski-Suomen museo (Museum of Central Finland), and admire the landmark architecture of Kuokkalan kartano.

To see traveler tips, reviews, maps, and more tourist information, you can read our Jyvaskyla attractions planning site.

Helsinki to Jyvaskyla is an approximately 2.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. In July, daily temperatures in Jyvaskyla can reach 24°C, while at night they dip to 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Tue) to allow time to fly back home.
