Jyvaskyla

— 2 nights
Jyväskylä is a city and municipality in Finland and in the western part of the Finnish Lakeland. Venture out of the city with trips to Himos Ski Resort (in Jamsa) and Petajavesi Old Church (in Petajavesi). The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at The Alvar Aalto Museum, get engrossed in the history at Toivolan Vanha Piha, brush up on your military savvy at Finnish Air Force Museum, and admire the striking features of Kuokkalan kartano.

To find maps, ratings, and tourist information, read Jyvaskyla journey planner.

Helsinki to Jyvaskyla is an approximately 2.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Expect little chillier weather when traveling from Helsinki in November: highs in Jyvaskyla hover around 1°C, while lows dip to -2°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Sun) so you can fly back home.
