3 days in Central Finland Itinerary

Jyväskylä is a city and municipality in Finland and in the western part of the Finnish Lakeland. Change things up with a short trip to Petajavesi Old Church in Petajavesi (about 34 minutes away). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at The Alvar Aalto Museum, walk around Maki-Matin perhepuisto, get a new perspective on things with Lake Paijanne Cruises, and take in the architecture and design of University of Jyvaskyla.

Helsinki to Jyvaskyla is an approximately 3-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or fly. In September in Jyvaskyla, expect temperatures between 16°C during the day and 5°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Sun) early enough to drive back home.
