Go for a jaunt from Helsinki to Espoo to see Nuuksio National Park about 48 minutes away. Explore Lieksa's surroundings by going to Koli (Koli Shop Retkitupa & Koli Nature Centre Ukko), Koli National Park (Ukko-Koli, Uhrihalkeama, &more) and Joensuu (Lykynlampi Outdoor Centre, Joensuu Church, &more). An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
