Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Escape the urban bustle at Aurinkolahti Beach and Norman Travels. Head to Hakaniemi Market and Boss Shopfor plenty of shopping. When in Helsinki, make a side trip to see Stromforsin Ruukki in Ruotsinpyhtaa, approximately Ruotsinpyhtaa away. There's much more to do: wander the streets of Katajanokka, contemplate the long history of Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, enjoy the sand and surf at Hietaranta Beach, and sample the tasty concoctions at Stadin Panimo.

Take a break from the city and head to Yyteri Beach and Rauhaniemi Beach. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Vapriikin Museokeskus and Herrainpaivat Beach. Get out of town with these interesting Tampere side-trips: Holy Cross Church (in Parola), Pihamaa Estate & Winery (in Asikkala) and St Olaf's Church in Tyrvaa (in Sastamala).
