Nestled among vast forests and fells, Luosto represents a small idyllic resort village set on the edge of Pyha-Luosto National Park.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Step out of the city life by going to Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park and Santa"s Cottage & Pet Farm. When in Levi, make a side trip to see Lapland Hotels SnowVillage in Kittila, approximately Kittila away. And it doesn't end there: fly down the slopes at Yllas Ski Resort, relax in the rural setting at Ounaskievari Reindeer Farm, take a stroll through Ounasjoki - River for activities, and make a trip to Giewont Husky Adventures.

Drive from Luosto to Levi in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In December, plan for daily highs up to 22°F, and evening lows to 8°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Thu) early enough to travel to Inari.

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Get in touch with nature at Angeli Reindeer Farm and Lemmenjoki National Park. There's much more to do: examine the collection at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, relax in the rural setting at Tuula's Reindeer, and take in the pleasant sights at Otsamo Fell.

Salla

Salla is a municipality of Finland, located in Lapland. Step out of the city life by going to Salla Ski Resort and Riisitunturi National Park. Get out of town with these interesting Salla side-trips: Ski Resort Suomutunturi (in Suomu) and Joutsijarven Bunkkerit (in Kemijarvi). There's more to do: get engrossed in the history at Salla Museum of War & Reconstruction and steep yourself in history at Paikanselan Taistelualue.

Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Take a break from the city and head to Pyha-Luosto National Park and Syvasenvaara Fell. Step out of Rovaniemi to go to Pello and see Ski Resort Ritavalkea, which is approximately 1h 30 min away. Next up on the itinerary: find something for the whole family at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, have some family-friendly fun at Snowman World Igloo Hotel, examine the collection at Christmas House Santa, and get engrossed in the history at Arktikum.
