You'll find plenty of places to visit near Helsinki: Hvittrask (in Kirkkonummi), Nuuksio National Park (in Espoo) and Tulliniemi Nature Path (in Hanko). And it doesn't end there: steep yourself in history at Mannerheim Museum, admire the masterpieces at Kansallisgalleria, take an in-depth tour of The National Museum of Finland, and learn more about the world around you at Natural History Museum (Luonnontieteellinen Museo).

Step off the beaten path and head to Levi Ski Resort and Sarestoniemi Museum. Take a break from the city and head to Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park and Torassieppi Reindeer Farm & Cottages. Step out of Levi with an excursion to Church of Sodankyla in Sodankyla--about 1h 35 min away. There's still lots to do: visit Ounasjoki - River for activities, experience rural life at Ounaskievari Reindeer Farm, make a trip to Giewont Husky Adventures, and identify plant and animal life at Santa"s Cottage & Pet Farm.
