Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Ullanlinna. Kansallisgalleria and Vantaa Art Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Change things up with a short trip to Hirsala Golf in Kirkkonummi (about 34 minutes away). There's lots more to do: admire the striking features of Temppeliaukio Church, take a stroll through Katajanokka, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kamppi Chapel of Silence, and stroll around The Esplanadi Park.

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
You'll get in some beach time at Bellevue Beach and Vepsa Island. Turku Castle and Naantali Old Town are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Turku side-trips: Mathildedalin Kylapanimo (in Salo) and Hanko Water Tower (in Hanko). There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Ispoinen Beach and Sauna, take in the spiritual surroundings of Turku Cathedral, let little ones run wild at Adventure Park, and get engrossed in the history at Ett Hem Museum.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
On the 20th (Sat), make a trip to Santa Claus Village, see Santa Claus Office, then look for gifts at LAURI Handicraft Shop & Atelier, and finally Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell. Keep things going the next day: take an in-depth tour of Arktikum and then take an exotic tour of a safari tour.
