Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church and Saint Tryphon Pechenga Orthodox Church. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center and Juutua Nature Trail. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Inari: Hippupuoti Gift Shop (in Saariselka) and Gold Prospector Museum (in Tankavaara). It doesn't end there: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel and wander the wide-open spaces of Angeli Reindeer Farm.
