You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Copenhagen to Saariselka due to the time zone difference. Get out of town with these interesting Levi side-trips: Kittila (Lapland Hotels SnowVillage & Taatsin seita), Muonio (Keimioniemi Fishing Cabins & Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park) and Sarestoniemi Museum (in Kaukonen). An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon (in Posio) and Ski Resort Ritavalkea (in Pello).
