Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Step out of Rovaniemi to go to Ranua and see Ranua Zoo, which is approximately 1 hour away. And it doesn't end there: don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village, enjoy some diversion at Santa Claus Office, find something for the whole family at Moomin Snowcastle, and stroll through Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy.
