Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 30th (Wed): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rovaniemi Church. On the next day, get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, get to know the resident critters at Ranua Zoo, and then make a trip to Lordi's Square.

Kick off your visit on the 2nd (Fri): examine the collection at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, hike along Juutua Nature Trail, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church.
