Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Start off your visit on the 24th (Thu): make a trip to Lordi's Square, get to know the resident critters at Ranua Zoo, and then hit the slopes at Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 25th (Fri): identify plant and animal life at Napapiirin Porofarmi, then take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, then see Santa Claus Office, and finally don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village.

Lisbon, Portugal to Rovaniemi is an approximately 10.5-hour flight. You can also drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 2 hours traveling from Lisbon to Rovaniemi. Kick off your visit on the 26th (Sat): join the crowd at Icekarting Levi and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Kids' Land.
