An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Wed): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rovaniemi Church, get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, then see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, and finally get curious at Pilke Science Centre. Here are some ideas for day two: don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square, enjoy some diversion at Santa Claus Office, and then make a trip to Santa Claus Village.
