Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
For shopping fun, head to Turun Kauppahalli or Galleria Joella. Turku Castle and Naantali Old Town are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Step out of Turku to go to Pernio and see Teijo National Park, which is approximately 1h 20 min away. There's lots more to do: have some family-friendly fun at Moomin World, kick back and relax at Vepsa Island, take in the spiritual surroundings of Turku Cathedral, and work off some steam at Ispoinen Beach and Sauna.
