Jyvaskyla

Jyväskylä is a city and municipality in Finland and in the western part of the Finnish Lakeland. Explore Jyvaskyla's surroundings by going to Petajavesi Old Church (in Petajavesi) and Pyha-Hakki National Park (in Saarijarvi). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at The Alvar Aalto Museum, take an in-depth tour of Toivolan Vanha Piha, walk around Maki-Matin perhepuisto, and brush up on your military savvy at Finnish Air Force Museum.

To see other places to visit, ratings, traveler tips, and more tourist information, use the Jyvaskyla trip site.

Riga, Latvia to Jyvaskyla is an approximately 8-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. Expect slightly colder evenings in Jyvaskyla when traveling from Riga in July, with lows around 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 10th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
