Jyvaskyla

Jyväskylä is a city and municipality in Finland and in the western part of the Finnish Lakeland. Get out of town with these interesting Jyvaskyla side-trips: Petajavesi Old Church (in Petajavesi) and Jamsa (Vitikkala Manor & Himos Ski Resort). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at The Alvar Aalto Museum, get a new perspective on nature at Natural History Museum of Central Finland, get engrossed in the history at Keski-Suomen museo (Museum of Central Finland), and snap pictures at Karkisten Silta.

For photos, maps, reviews, and more tourist information, go to the Jyvaskyla road trip planning app.

Bournemouth, UK to Jyvaskyla is an approximately 16.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. The time zone difference moving from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) to Eastern European Standard Time (EET) is 2 hours. Prepare for a bit cooler weather when traveling from Bournemouth in February: high temperatures in Jyvaskyla hover around -2°C and lows are around -9°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
