Kotka is a city and municipality of Finland.Kotka is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland at the mouth of Kymi River and it is part of the Kymenlaakso region in southern Finland. Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Tue): look for all kinds of wild species at Riverside Park, let little ones run wild at Katariina Seaside Park, appreciate the history behind Kotka Sculpture Promenade, then take in nature's colorful creations at Sibelius Park, and finally get to know the fascinating history of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. Keep things going the next day: tour the pleasant surroundings at Santalahti Nature Trail, don't miss a visit to Hamina Town Hall, steep yourself in history at St. John's Church, then admire the striking features of Saint Peter and Saint Paul Cathedral, then admire the landmark architecture of Main Building of Military School, and finally contemplate the long history of Kotka Church.
