Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Fri): pause for some serene contemplation at Temppeliaukio Church and then pause for some serene contemplation at Helsinki Cathedral. On the 25th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: step into the grandiose world of Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), and then don't miss a visit to Senate Square.

Athens, Greece to Helsinki is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Plan for much colder temperatures traveling from Athens in December, with highs in Helsinki at 3°C and lows at -3°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Sat) to allow enough time to fly to Rovaniemi.

Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
On the 26th (Sun), take an in-depth tour of Arktikum and then find something for the whole family at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus. On the 27th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: make a trip to Santa Claus Village, then don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Office, and then let little ones run wild at Angry Birds Park.
