Helsinki

Daughter of the Baltic

Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Stand-Up Paddleboarding. Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and The Aalto House are good opportunities to explore the local culture. There's still lots to do: get a new perspective on nature at Natural History Museum (Luonnontieteellinen Museo), explore the world behind art at Kansallisgalleria, take a stroll through Katajanokka, and pause for some serene contemplation at Temppeliaukio Church.
