An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Mon): see Santa Claus Office and then don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: stop by LAURI Handicraft Shop & Atelier, then look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas, then take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, and finally make a trip to Lordi's Square.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands to Rovaniemi is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Amsterdam to Rovaniemi due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Amsterdam in February, you will find days in Rovaniemi are much colder (-6°C), and nights are slightly colder (-11°C). Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Tue) so you can go by car to Levi.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
When in Levi, make a side trip to see Lapland Hotels SnowVillage in Kittila, approximately Kittila away. Spend the 10th (Wed) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. You can drive from Rovaniemi to Levi in 2.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. In February, plan for daily highs up to -5°C, and evening lows to -12°C. On the 12th (Fri), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
