Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Tue): get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, find something for the whole family at Moomin Snowcastle, then make a trip to Santa Claus Office, and finally don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village. On your second day here, make a trip to Lordi's Square, then take an exotic tour of a safari tour, then hit the slopes at Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy, and finally admire the masterpieces at Korundi House of Culture.

Helsinki to Rovaniemi is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also take a train; or drive. Traveling from Helsinki in November, expect Rovaniemi to be a bit cooler, temps between -2°C and -7°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 25th (Wed) so you can go by car to Levi.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
On the 26th (Thu), explore the landscape on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. On the 27th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: find something for the whole family at Levi Huskypark, then get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, then bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi, and finally look for gifts at Elan Ski Shop & Rental.

You can drive from Rovaniemi to Levi in 2.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. Traveling from Rovaniemi in November, Levi is little chillier at night with lows of -11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Fri) early enough to drive to Inari.

Inari

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Start off your visit on the 28th (Sat): get outside with Lake Inari, stroll through Juutua Nature Trail, and then see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center.
