Saariselka

Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
On the 21st (Tue), examine the collection at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center and then get your bearings at The Sami Cultural Centre Sajos. On the next day, trek along Urho Kekkonen National Park.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Start off your visit on the 24th (Fri): get to know the resident critters at Ranua Zoo and then pause for some serene contemplation at Rovaniemi Church. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 25th (Sat): get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, see Santa Claus Office, and then don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village.
