Kotka is a city and municipality of Finland.Kotka is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland at the mouth of Kymi River and it is part of the Kymenlaakso region in southern Finland. Venture out of the city with trips to Imatra Waterfall (in Imatra), Lappeenranta (Sandcastle Lappeenranta & Saimaa Canal) and Kouvola (Repovesi National Park, Niivermaki Nature Conservation Area, &more). There's still lots to do: walk around Sapokka Water Garden, appreciate the extensive heritage of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, tour the pleasant surroundings at Santalahti Nature Trail, and examine the collection at Maritime Centre Vellamo.
