An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Rovaniemi: Pyha-Luosto National Park (in Pyhatunturi), Ranua Zoo (in Ranua) and Maupertuis Memorial (in Pello).
