Kotka is a city and municipality of Finland.Kotka is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland at the mouth of Kymi River and it is part of the Kymenlaakso region in southern Finland. Step out of the city life by going to Santalahti Nature Trail and Saimaa Canal. Do some cultural sightseeing at Stromforsin ruukki and Maritime Centre Vellamo. Get out of town with these interesting Kotka side-trips: German Self-Propelled Gun StuG III (in Hamina), Sibelius Hall (in Lahti) and Cathedral of Porvoo (in Porvoo). Spend the 6th (Wed) exploring nature at Repovesi National Park. Next up on the itinerary: look for all kinds of wild species at Arboretum Mustila, pause for some serene contemplation at Pyhtaa Church of Saint Henry, take in nature's colorful creations at Sapokka Water Garden, and examine the collection at Lappeenranta Fortress.
