Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
On the 28th (Sun), make a trip to Lordi's Square, get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Rovaniemi Church. On the next day, stop by LAURI Handicraft Shop & Atelier, make a trip to Santa Claus Village, then see Santa Claus Office, and finally take an exotic tour of a safari tour.

Helsinki to Rovaniemi is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also take a train; or drive. Traveling from Helsinki in February, things will get a bit cooler in Rovaniemi: highs are around -6°C and lows about -11°C. Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Take a break from Levi with a short trip to Lapland Hotels SnowVillage in Kittila, about 46 minutes away. Spend the 2nd (Tue) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. There's lots more to do: bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi, hit the slopes at Kids' Land, stroll through Yllas Ski Resort, and see Off-Road Tours.
