An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Start off your visit on the 9th (Fri): learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Ranua Zoo, see the interesting displays at Christmas House Santa, and then explore the fascinating underground world of Syvasenvaara Fell.
