An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Start off your visit on the 16th (Mon): don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square, then see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, then make a trip to Santa Claus Office, and finally make a trip to Santa Claus Village. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 17th (Tue): Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell, find something for the whole family at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, and then get engrossed in the history at Arktikum.

Prague, Czech Republic to Rovaniemi is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Prague to Rovaniemi. Expect a bit cooler temperatures when traveling from Prague in March; daily highs in Rovaniemi reach -1°C and lows reach -9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Tue) so you can drive to Levi.
