An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
On your second day here, get engrossed in the history at Arktikum and then take an exotic tour of a safari tour.

Helsinki to Rovaniemi is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also take a train; or drive. Plan for a bit cooler temperatures traveling from Helsinki in March, with highs in Rovaniemi at -1°C and lows at -9°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Tue) early enough to drive to Levi.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
On the 15th (Tue), grab your bike and head to Levi Ski Resort.

You can drive from Rovaniemi to Levi in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In March, daytime highs in Levi are 0°C, while nighttime lows are -10°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Saariselka.

Saariselka

Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
On the 16th (Wed), stroll through Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort and then surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour. Here are some ideas for day two: get your bearings at The Sami Cultural Centre Sajos and then examine the collection at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center.
