An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Tue): make a trip to Santa Claus Village, see Santa Claus Office, and then don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square. Here are some ideas for day two: take an in-depth tour of Arktikum and then see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Get out of town with these interesting Levi side-trips: Seven Fells Up (in Akaslompolo) and Lapland Hotels SnowVillage (in Kittila). Spend the 3rd (Thu) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. There's still lots to do: bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi, stop by Elan Ski Shop & Rental, and take an exotic tour of Lapland Safaris Levi.

Traveling by car from Rovaniemi to Levi takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In March, daytime highs in Levi are 0°C, while nighttime lows are -10°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Saariselka.
