Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Step out of Rovaniemi to go to Ranua and see Ranua Zoo, which is approximately 1 hour away. There's lots more to do: take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell, see Santa Claus Office, and make a trip to Santa Claus Village.

On the 12th (Sun), see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, then surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church.

Start off your visit on the 13th (Mon): explore the wealth of natural beauty at Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: grab your bike and head to Levi Ski Resort.
