An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.

Start off your visit on the 13th (Mon): look for gifts at LAURI Handicraft Shop & Atelier and then don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square. You can drive from Rovaniemi to Inari in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and flight. Expect little chillier evenings in Inari when traveling from Rovaniemi in December, with lows around -17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 17th (Fri) early enough to travel to Levi.
