On the 21st (Tue), gear up at Levi Ski Resort. Keep things going the next day: stroll through Kids' Land, look for gifts at Elan Ski Shop & Rental, bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi, then don't miss a visit to Lapland Hotels SnowVillage, and finally fly down the slopes at Yllas Ski Resort.

Getting from Saariselka to Levi by flight takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In December, daily temperatures in Levi can reach -6°C, while at night they dip to -15°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Wed) to allow time to drive to Rovaniemi.

Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Thu): pause for some serene contemplation at Rovaniemi Church, don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square, see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy, then see Santa Claus Office, and finally make a trip to Santa Claus Village. On the next day, engage your brain at Pilke Science Centre, get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, and then get engrossed in the history at Arktikum.
