An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 19th (Tue): stop by LAURI Handicraft Shop & Atelier, then see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, then see Santa Claus Office, and finally make a trip to Santa Claus Village. On the 20th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: find something for the whole family at Moomin Snowcastle, fly down the slopes at Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy, then explore the fascinating underground world of Syvasenvaara Fell, then take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, and finally don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square.
