An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Step off the beaten path and head to Syvasenvaara Fell and German Soldier s Cemetery. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon (in Posio) and Pyha-Luosto National Park (in Pyhatunturi). It doesn't end there: cast your line with a fishing tour.
