Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
You'll get in some beach time at Bellevue Beach and Hietaranta Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Beach Mansikkalahti and Tulliniemi Nature Path. Explore Helsinki's surroundings by going to Arboretum Mustila (in Elimaki), Sibelius Hall (in Lahti) and Kotka (Santalahti Nature Trail & Riverside Park). Spend the 4th (Sun) exploring nature at Sipoonkorven Kansallispuisto. Spend the 5th (Mon) exploring nature at Ekenas Archipelago National Park. Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center and Skolt Sami Heritage House. Get in touch with nature at Urho Kekkonen National Park and Ruijanpolku Trail. Get out of town with these interesting Inari side-trips: Gold Prospector Museum (in Tankavaara) and Saariselka (Nature & Wildlife Tours & Angry Birds Activity Park). Spend the 15th (Thu) exploring nature at Lemmenjoki National Park. Traveling by combination of flight and shuttle from Helsinki to Inari takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and car; or drive. In March, Inari is slightly colder than Helsinki - with highs of -1°C and lows of -12°C. You'll set off for Levi on the 25th (Sun).

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Levi Ski Resort and Icekarting Levi. Do your shopping at LUVATTUMAA - Levi Ice Gallery and Museum - Gallery Alariesto. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Levi: Muonio (Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park, Keimiotunturi Fell, &more), Sarestoniemi Museum (in Kaukonen) and Akaslompolo (Akaslompolo Sportshop, Seven Fells Up, &more).
