Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Appreciate the collections at Fortress of Suomenlinna and Kansallisgalleria. Shop till you drop at S-market Hakaniemi and Stockmann's Department Store. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Helsinki: Sibeliustalo (in Lahti), Arboretum Mustila (in Elimaki) and Hanko (Tulliniemi Nature Path & Bellevue Beach). Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Get some cultural insight at Siida and Saint Tryphon Pechenga Orthodox Church. Visit Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church and Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel for their historical value. Get out of town with these interesting Inari side-trips: Saariselka (Nature & Wildlife Tours, Angry Birds Saariselka, & more), Skolt Sami Heritage House (in Sevettijarvi) and Gold Prospector Museum (in Tankavaara). Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Get outdoors at Levi Ski Resort and Yllas Ski Resort. Museum-lovers will get to explore The Sarestoniemi Museum and Museum - Gallery Alariesto. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Levi: Akaslompolo (Akaslompolo Sportshop, Seven Fells Up, & more), Sodankyla (Church of Sodankyla & Luosto) and Muonio (Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park, Keimiotunturi Fell, & more). There's still lots to do: take an exotic tour of a safari tour, don't miss a visit to Snow Village, deepen your understanding at Kid's Land, and admire all the interesting features of Ice Karting Levi.

You can do a combination of shuttle, flight, and bus from Inari to Levi in 3 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. March in Levi sees daily highs of 0°C and lows of -10°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Fri) so you can take a bus to Rovaniemi.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Visiting Ranua Zoo and Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy will get you outdoors. Head to Sampokeskus and Forestry Museum of Laplandfor some retail therapy. Explore Rovaniemi's surroundings by going to Pyhatunturi (in Pelkosenniemi), Kemi (Kemi Church & Sampo Icebreaker) and Luosto (Amethyst Mine Lapland & Kopara Reindeer Park). There's lots more to do: identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas, pause for some serene contemplation at Tornio Church, examine the collection at Santa's House of Snowmobiles, and take in the dramatic natural features at Korouoma Canyon.

Take a bus from Levi to Rovaniemi in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Expect a daytime high around 3°C in April, and nighttime lows around -3°C. On the 21st (Sat), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
