An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Korundi House of Culture and German Soldier s Cemetery. Get outdoors at Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy and Napapiirin Porofarmi. Venture out of the city with trips to Maupertuis Memorial (in Pello), Tatuka Reindeerfarm (in Ylitornio) and Korouoma Canyon (in Posio).
